Buying Power is part of the pre-offer Buyer Registration process in Final Offer. It reflects the highest price a buyer is prepared to offer on a property and helps ensure offers submitted through Final Offer align with the buyer’s pre-approved amount.
How Buying Power Works
During registration, the buyer agent enters a Buying Power amount.
A proof of funds or pre-approval letter must be uploaded to support the requested amount.
This information is sent to the listing agent, who can review and vet the documentation as they normally would.
Once approved, the buyer agent can enter the offer price and terms on the listing up to the approved buying power amount.
Helpful Tip
Most buyer agents request a Buying Power amount that matches their intended offer to avoid showing their hand too early.
Buying Power can be increased later if needed by clicking the Request Buying Power Increase button and submitting updated documentation.
